Ron: Are you parenting teens? Here are two tips to help you survive.
Announcer: For FamilyLife Blended®, here’s Ron Deal.
Ron: Okay, teens, if you’re listening, check me on this list and tell your parents what you think. Number 1—Parents, be flexible with students, but love them enough to set boundaries that protect them, too. You know, all teens deal with pressures. Add to that teens in stepfamilies who are moving between homes, maybe have biological parents who don’t get along, and there is plenty of reason for them to be moody. So, when you can cut them a break but don’t tolerate disrespect. Besides, they know when they are crossing the line.
Number 2—Stepparents, don’t take a sour attitude personally. Biological parents know teens are equal opportunity grumblers. For FamilyLife Blended I’m Ron Deal.
